A grant of $5013 from the Community Foundation of Kingston and Area will enable school children and seniors from Kingston to visit the exhibition of thirty new portraits of Canadians by Canadian artists. The exhibition will show paintings and drawings by finalists in the 2019 Kingston Prize competition, and will be open to the public October 11-27, 2019.
This educational program, called Faces of Canada, will give participants an opportunity to discover their own artistic interests and ability, and to engage in a national event presenting pictures of Canadians living in places all across the country. The portraits will build a consciousness of the diversity of Canadians.
