  • The First Five: Portraits from The Kingston Prize. Kingston, ON. Agnes Etherington Art Centre. August 29 – December 6, 2015
This special initiative brings together the first five winners of The Kingston Prize: Mike Bayne, Joshua Choi, Richard Davis, Marcia Perkins and Andrew Valko. The five winning paintings demonstrate special attention to mastery of the medium and a sensitive reflection of the interaction between artist and subject. Together, they are testament to the vital support for portraiture in Canada generated by this biennial award through its first decade. This presentation, developed in collaboration with The Kingston Prize, complements the 2015 show for this award at the Firehall Theatre, Gananoque, 9 to 25 October.
